Everything you want
to know first.

Do I need to already be working at an ABA clinic to use SkillsFlow? +
No. SkillsFlow is designed for candidates at every stage, including people who have not yet started working in ABA. The curriculum prepares you for the exam. The 9th & Lee talent network helps you find the clinical placement you need to get certified and start working.
Is SkillsFlow affiliated with the BACB? +
No. SkillsFlow is an independent exam preparation program and is not affiliated with or endorsed by the Behavior Analyst Certification Board (BACB). RBT is a registered trademark of the BACB. SkillsFlow prepares candidates using the publicly available RBT Task List but is not an official BACB-approved training program.
Does SkillsFlow count as my 40-hour training requirement? +
No. The 40-hour training requirement must be supervised by a qualifying BCBA or other approved supervisor and documented through the BACB. SkillsFlow is exam preparation, not the required supervised training. If you need help finding a supervising BCBA, the 9th & Lee network can connect you with an ABA clinic that provides supervision as part of onboarding.
What if I fail the exam after completing SkillsFlow? +
You can retake the RBT exam after a 30-day waiting period. Your SkillsFlow materials do not expire, so use the time to review your weak domains using the domain-by-domain mock exam score breakdown. Many candidates who do not pass on the first attempt identify specific gaps and clear them on the second try. We are here to support you through the process.
Which track should I start with? +
All three tracks are included in the Complete Program and cohort tiers and are meant to be used together. If you are completely new to ABA, start with the Student Track. If you are switching from a different career, the Career Bridge Track gives you a strong orientation. If you absorb information better through doing than reading, the Kinesthetic Track activities reinforce what the other tracks teach through text.
How does the placement pipeline work? +
Once you complete SkillsFlow and receive your RBT credential, you submit your profile to the 9th & Lee talent network at 9thandleetalent.com. From there, the 9th & Lee team actively matches your profile to ABA clinics that are hiring in your area and fit your experience level. There is no additional cost for candidates. The clinic pays the placement fee.
